Sarah at SciComm recently post on LinkedIn information about herself and SciComm after a big change a few months ago. I think it is best to directly quote her as she makes a compelling case as to why any researcher interested in communicating their research would benefit from following SciComm. Especially if you are in a science discipline!
I am Sarah Wettstadt, a microbiologist-turned-science writer who wants to help scientists become excellent science communicators. 👩🏽🔬
As a former scientist myself, I know that explaining #science to the public is not as easy as it sounds and often leads to confused or [skeptical] reactions 🤯
Guess what? You are not alone. I struggled with the same issues.
But after finding a support system and reading tons of #ScienceCommunication resources, I learned about efficient #communication practices to help people “buy into” the importance of science. 📚
Now, my goal is to empower you to share your science with the world and make a positive impact on people’s lives, their health, society and the environment 🌎🌍🌏
Whether you’re just starting in science communication or improving your skills, I’m here to help you find your #SciComm voice. 🎤
